sorry I have been reading loads of topics about replacing the ECU RELAY no 30
                                                                                                  FUEL PUMP RELAY 167

SORRY FOR BEING STUPID BUT WHERE CAN I FIND THESE NOT HAD THE CAR LONG AND NOW RUNNING CRAP

hey Steve,

You'll find the relay's above the fuse box on the mk3 golf. you'll find this under the dash/steering wheel on the driver side. If you look under neath there'll be a panel with two green plastic buttons which you push in to release the panel, before you yank it out.

A torch will help, but you'll see a row of fuses then several plastic cubes/squares, about 2cm wide. You should then see the numbers 30 and 167 printed on them

Hi, there is a post about this - I think it was boneybradley, len405 or rubjonny.

They put a scanned pic of the relay layout on the site, someone must have sticked it.
Virtually everything I know about the workings of the internal combustion engine can be written on the back of a small stamp with a large marker

Also its my pet subject as its the reason I joined this forum to resolve a problem and got told straight away it was the relays!
