Cheers Lee

nz is a cool place, with great cop free (mostly) twisty roads

No worries. If only it was the same over here!

Out of curiosity, are distances measured in km or miles in NZ? I've spent plenty of time Australia but I've never been to your wonderful country....

I paid £2900 for mine FOUR years ago!
It was totally standard FSH with 98k.
No Mods whatsover but a 16v with ABS and air-con.

That was a fair price at the time.

Sounds exactly the type of car that I'm looking for.

Looks like I'm going to have to be patient.....

Are there any places that you guys can recommend for me to keep an eye on?

I'm watching all of the obvious sites... here, autrotrader, pistonheads, clubgti....

All you've mentioned, plus probably edition38 although it's offline at the moment, should be up and running again soon.

You could always try ebay, seen wuite a lot of 16v's on there, you can still go and view them so you're not buying blind.

I paid £3300 for my 16v in Sep '05. Quite steep but I knew i was getting a 1 lady owner car with 70k and never wanted for anything.

Really it depends how much peace of mind you want.

Well you shouldnt be paying more than 2000 for an absolute low mileage minter!

between 1500 and 1800 is a good range. Unless its got some good Mods!

Those places are the ones to look at plus ebay. When you do a seach on autotrader dont restrict the value or distance or as in my case there may well be one just below a value or just outside your miles etc.

Hiya m8
Distances here are all in metric and dashes of cars too, my 8v mk3 is ex uk so it has miles on the dash.
Aussie is overated  nz is much better! only 4million here, im a kiwi. And we like being the underdog
