ECU Relay changing
« on: 17 January 2007, 21:56 »
Ive just read the common problems thing for the MK3 and think my car is having a problem with the ECU relay number 42. Where can I get this from? and a part number if possible.

Thanks

That'll be a main dealer part bud. Don't have the part number on me but take the car in and they'll exchange about £12 for one.

On mine the ECU relay is No. 30 Sometimes I've seen it called E30

Best thing to do is go to your local VAG dealer, tell them your chassis number and they will give you the correct part for your car! Then you just replace the corresponding relay.
At 10 or 12 quid its hardly gonna break the bank.

Ah right, i did read a few posts about relay 30 its just in the common problem thing from performance vw i said it had a big 42 on it. So i pressumed it was relay number 42  :embarassed:. Well cheers for the replies.
