Before you do anything else, remove the green end cap and check the clutch actuation finger, it may be cracked. Jack it up a little on the passenger side, otherwise you'll loose a bit of box oil. Have a new green end cap & release bearing ready, cheap from GSF. If the finger looks ok, its a box off job as the release plate thing has prob gone as mister audi100 says.
In this case dont bother fitting the new cap & bearing, just put the old one in for now, becasue it makes it alot easer to replace the pushrod bush & seal if you tap it out from behind, I pushed summat long & thin into the pushrod hole, small enough to fit down the hole, but large enough to hit the pushrod bush. Then I slid the pushrod down after it and gently tapped the bush out

Don't forget to replace the input shaft seal as well.
