amp won't switch on????

ello peeps  :smiley:

This is my first time @ trying to wire up an amp, ive done the following so far..

1. power wire from battery to the 12v connector
2.remote wire to the connector that says REM
3.Ive grounded it - wire from chassi to the GRN terminal

I switch the ignition on aswell as my head unit but my amp still doesnt come alive, any help please would be....V.MUCH APP!  :tongue:

The first thing to check is whether the amp actually works, remove the wire you connected to the remote connection on the amp. Now connect the remote terminal on the amp to the +12v one next to it, if the amp is good it will switch on.
The other thing to check is whether the remote wire from your headunit has 12v on it when the headunit is switched on, you'll need a meter for this as the remote lead can't supply enough current to light a test lamp.
I would think between those two you'll find the problem.

hehehe cheers matey, amp works fine now  :wink: my bro informed me I grounded it wrong...(didnt go to bare metal, I'd forgot to scratch away the paint) lolololololol
