I heard that Nankangs are made in the Yokahama factory but from cheaper rubber. At the end of the day the tyres are the only thing touching the road so not worth skimping on go for a known make toyo, yokohama, Avon, Pirrelli, Bridgestones etc.

I agree with the named brand theme but I wouldn't buy Yoko's again as they wear out rapid and I mean rapid, the best tryes I've ever had on a car are Goodyear Eagle F1's and if your after a cheap but hard wearing tyre I'd go for Avon ZV3's but thats just my opinion so each to his own

Never had Yokos but have heard that about them as well, I have Avon ZV3's on mine now and I can't fault them low road noise and super grippy in wet and dry.

Nankangs are quite soft and actually grip quite well- they score well on tyretest.com

I've had a couple of sets for general road use and they've been good.....also, they're quite cheap!

I use toyo proxes and i have to say im very impressed with them, they are a bit soft though so tend to wear a bit quicker than most brands but as previously said tyre is all that keeps you on the road and i personally would rather not cut back when it comes to them

If they are anything like Yoko's then I agree totally with Uruk Hai.
I had a pair of Yokos on my Mi16 and they only lasted about 8000 miles!

i have had these before and they seem fine, not as good as toyo's though. i suppose its hard you drive, if you cane it, its worth paying more as you will want that little extra grip! if your a normal driver then i dont think you will really notice the difference?
