You need to go onto the Clubgti website and look in the motorsport section of the forum, also check out golfgtiracing.co.uk for more info.

I also am going to take part but not sure which class to enter at the moment, what class are you going to enter 8V or 16V and why?

Sounds interesting , if the classes are along the lines of the stock hatch champoinship it , should be very exciting and quite affordable ,

 have to get the regs up ASAP

Could be cool regs are here http://www.golfgtiracing.co.uk/Regulations.htm

Even if we don't get into the racing it would be a good forum outing to the races in the mk2's showing our support :)

A summary of the regulations is given below.

* 2 classes – 8 and 16 valve.
* Standard engines, with control camshafts.
* Exhausts free from manifold back.
* Spring and damper rates free.
* No changes to any suspension mounts allowed.
* Bolt in cage only.
* Control tyres.
* Minimum weights for both classes.

this is awesome news :cool: i hope the racing is close :evil:

will give us an answer to the 16v vs 8v argument!! although the 8v's will have 50 kg's less weight so will be a bit better on the brakes and corners :cry:

I know a few of these guys (went to Nurburgring with them in October and Oulton Park in November) as they are affiliated with the circuit days team.

Nice bunch of guys, very well organised, should be a well run outfit. This is something I am going to look at for 2008 as I'm too busy this year to dedicate the time, but next year...look out!!

Yeah i aws with these guys at Oulton back end of last year and very well organised. 2008 for me too, just gonna get the Mk2 ready and do a few track days this year and see what's what. Giving up bike at end of this season to concentrate on 4 wheels - I just hope i don't regret giving up the 2 wheels -  :undecided: :cry:

Were you there in early November? If so, we may have pounded the track together at the same time!!

I was in my blue Subaru (not the annoying slow instructor one that was holding everyone up through the bends!!)
