http://www.750mc.co.uk/Racing/result...ly_VW_Golf.pdfFrom a personal point of veiw the day could've gone a bit more smoothly. I was lapping behind Adam in practice and decided to drop back to give myself a bit of space. I had to clear a slower car on my next lap and unforuntely I found a wet patch, then the grass and finally the tyre wall.
The car wasn't that badly damaged just a wishbone, track rod end and some cosmetics.
We got the car out again with the help of Paul VW Nut kindly donating a spare wishbone and Ian and Graeme my mechanic and team manager
.
It didn't feel quite right on the warm up lap and it later transpired that the rack was bent internally and the rear gearbox mount had broke. So I just circulated as quick as possible trying to make the car as "wide" as I could during the race.
Qualified 7th, Finished 11th overall and 3rd in class, so I managed to come away with some points on the board.
I'm missing the next round at Brands to go and play in the 2.0L Hotrod European Championship in Ireland but will be back in time for Silverstone in August.
Complete with battle scars.
