BEFORE WE START I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR HOURS FOR AN ANSWER SO I CAME HERE...

These are the wheels i got

http://www.motor-world.co.uk/images/hires/8661.jpg?PHPSESSID=c55d3cb729e872143b2fdbff2b6a103e

15inch with yok tyres, they were on a corsa for 4 days so they are brand new.
(£195 i payed)

i also got a full set of locking nuts and some sprigot rings.

Check the charts i found below and see if you agree with this.

THE SPIGOT RINGS I GOT ARE 56.6MM(VAUXHALL), CAN I RUB THEM DOWN ABIT ON THE INSIDE TO MAKE THEM 57.1 (VW) SO THEY FIT?

 SAVING £20 AND TIME...

DO I NEED SPACERS WITH THESE WHEELS?? DON'T UNDERSTAND THE OFFSET THINGY...I WANT THEM TO LOOK WIDE...

I DON'T KNOW IF SHE HAD SPACERS OR WHAT THE OFFSET OF THE WHEELS ARE NOW??

I FOUND THESE ON THE NET

VAUXHALL
Model P.C.D.           Offset         C/Bore
Corsa 4 x 100      42...45              56.5

VOLKSWAGEN
Model    P.C.D.        Offset         C/Bore
Golf      4 x 100        32...38        57.0

from here  (http://www.carlsalter.com/wheel_fitments.html)

sprigot rings available on ebay are these

56.6mm Vauxhall / Daewoo

57.1mm VW / Skoda / Audi

ANY ADVICE WILL BE GREATFULLY ACCEPTED AND REPLYED TO.

CHEERS
LAZYBLUE

no amount of rubbing could ever make 56mm into 57 , if it could id be huge by now ,

anyways all ya could do is throw em on and work with a bit of trial and error

there should be a guid on offsets somewhere , its measure in mm i think from the centre of the wheel to the inner edge i cant remember , ill dig it out and write it up for you if youd like

1st thing, check if the wheels have spacers/spiggot rings in, I bet they will!  If so you can just pop em out and buy some TSW VW fitment spacers, and away you go.  Plenty wheel shops should be able to supply you with a set, even halfords should be able to get hold of them since I beleive they stock TSW wheels!

IIRC the vaux offset is slightly higher than VW, (higher offset means they sit further in the arch) but its not a massive amount. They should probably fit ok and not catch anything but you might want spacers so they fill the arches out a bit more.

Since the spiggot rings are probably plastic you could probably squeeze em on no bother.  Just be aware when you take the wheels off the spiggots might be proper stuck on there, and you may have to break em to get em off...
