short shift

which bit of the gear linkage is repalced by a short shift kit?

I've seen loads on ebay (various prices), but can't work out what they replace to shorted the shift!

If someone can provide a pic of the bit hat is replaced, I'm sure I'll be able to get ad adjustable one made.

There are 2 ways of doing it, 1 way is to remove the part that is bolted to the gearbox, and shorten it and bend  to a right angle, the other is to extend the large lever on the bracket bolted to the steering rack

depends which type you get

Normally the ones you get on ebay either replace the lever on the rack mount bracket, or attach on the end:
