right this diagram says the ISV is controlled by fuse number 17, does this mean simply i need to check location number 17 in the fuse box??

surely it cant be as simple as this? the fuse box cover says fuse 17 is for the turn signal??

S17 should be fuse 17, but, I would be more inclined to believe your cover. Have you definately got the correct wiring diagram for your car?

yep its defo NOT it!!
took the fuse out, and low & behold it is the indicators
maybe that the diagram for the earlier electrics pre 89 models
«

Yeah but so do the wipers, fuel pump etc., but they still need to go through a fuse to protect the circuits.

Fuse layouts do seem to change with the years so would be worth checking. Good luck.
