I must admit I have used it an older pre '95 car and it didn't read the ABS (but did read engine and SRS). Good point.
I think the abs ecu must have been changed for the OBD2 cars.
How old/what reg is yours?
95 M. I obviously just missed it.

Ah well, like I said my ABS light does turn off now, so the system must be working fine..... *whistles innocently*.
In all seriousness, I do intend getting it fixed, and the fact that it's an MOT failure annoys me, since my brakes are otherwise perfectly fine (in fact better than fine - new discs/pads all round in feb/march this year). stupid MOT laws... grumble grumble..
Hard to tell exactly what the system thinks the problem is without being able to read the ABS though. I picked up an ABS pump off Ebay just in case it's that. Supposedly it works, but even if it doesn't it still only cost 99p
