Yeah it should cope with it fine, the bigger issue is getting a dizzy on there that will work. If you find an Audi block your old dizzy will go straight in I think, but the 2e lumps need an adaptor from TSR and we all know what happened to them

I don't think you would gain as much out of it though, since the carby heads have smaller valves. It might be worth looking into getting a GTI head on there to get the most out of it! But then that can always be done later down the line I guess

Main issue with gti heads on a carby is they dont have the coolant channel in the head, but you can drill this out easily enough buy matching the size/angle of the hole in your old head. Haribo did the head mod to his old carby motor, and used his std carb no worries!
