Tagnut,

I have replied to your e-mail but just in case anyone else has ordered a usb connection and centre armrest, the usb connection is NOT  available from the factory. You will need to source an audio electrician to retro fit you a lead like I have, (my dealer knew someone). Any problems either e-mail me or let me know on the forum

Thanks Mr Tibbs,
Thanks for the information and prompt reply.  I think I will be giving them a call today to see what the situation is as I have heard nothing from the dealer since they had my deposit.
Bye Bye Edition 30

Anybody worked out this spring issue?

Is it 15mm lower and too harsh - Autocar
Does the suspension need more of a tweek as the normal GTI is too composed and boring - Autoexpress
Or is it just bog standard? CAR.

My bets is the latter - any picture i have seen of the car makes it look quite high esp at the rear??

Latest on the wheels - 3 have arrived??? The other next week!

Autocar review was sloppy, IMHO

I always understood that the suspension was unchanged from ordinary GTIs...can't see why they would change it myself...the GTIs I've driven are plenty low/firm enough for me :)

If anything, the only mod to the suspension I would consider myself are the Koni FSD dampers to help improve the low speed ride

I was thinking of putting koni fsd dampers on as well.  Does this do anything to the warranty? what kind of mods make the warranty void?

well, fitting aftermarket suspension components will probably void any warranty related to stock suspension components, springs, CV joints and driveshafts, to be honest

It won't affect warranty claims for items such as stereo, engine and electrical items, etc

That's how I've always understood the general principle...1 item can't really void the entire warranty for all components...and I think a court of law would be interested to learn from VW exactly how a suspension modification could void responsibility for stereo problems, for example

Hi guys, my first post but been following this post for the last few weeks.

I put a deposit down on an GTi Edition 30 today. A 3door in Tornado Red, with DSG and Xenons (and the highline computer)

Cheers to all the people who have listed info on here, it really helped me make a decision on the car.

Roll on March the 1st .........

Ended up going with Weston Super Mare (nr Bristol) as they seemed pretty switched on, could get me the car i wanted when i wanted. Unlike Bristol who were more concerned with trying to sell me the E30 they ordered as a 'demo' and didnt return phone calls.

Is there like an official thread/website for people who have ordered the E30?
