No why would you?

I also don't like red, but each to thier own.

Didn't even the desinger of the mkv admit the 5 door was not the prettiest car on the market.

Yes I have ordered a five door.  I do think that the 3 door looks much nicer. But having 2 growing kinds its a real B*ll ache having to get into the back to strap them in!

Ollieb7 spotted your posts over at UK-Mkivs forum  :smug: Good find with the pics though.
I do agree, it does look great from the front and ok from the side as you guys have pointed out. I do like the red though, gone for Refles Silver as it has to be really dirty to look bad.

aye, silver is a good colour for hiding the dirt...my TT hides the dirt fantastically well

It's just me, but every car I have has to be a different colour from the one I've had previously
Just a pyschological thing, I guess

Have gone from blue to white to red to black to grey to silver....white it is for me next!

Don't worry TagnuT, you're not alone with a 5dr  - i had to choose 5dr aswell.  But honestly, it doesn;t look that bad in a 5dr, its just the red colour and 5dr that don't mix.  I'm pretty sure that in another colour, a 5dr would look alright.  However, 3dr does look better.

Read a couple of reviews of the 30 recently, neither of which was that impressive, that with the fact that the new body kit looks a bit like a cheap after market bolt on job made me come to the decission to cancel my order, which is a shame . Placed the order way back at the beginning of the year when the dealer couldn't even confirm that it was coming out, so there were no official pics or stats to go by. Going to spend some money on my standard MK5 GTI instead, after which it'll be quicker, better handeling and in my eyes nicer to look at too than the 30.

It gets a good review in the new issue of Auto Express. I hope that you haven't been too hasty in cancelling your order.
And no mention of a poor ride either.

I think that the standard GTI has got the ride and handling just right.
1. I don't need a track day machine.
2. I have to live with the car everyday. So I want something that I can have fun with when I want to and not loosen my fillings!
3. I'm not a Journo and have a different car each week.
4. I plan to keep the car and its my own money too.!

If you get my drift.l
