One more thing - the car will come with an electronic locking differential, which as far as i know, is very similar to a LSD (someone correct me if i'm wrong though)

But the EDL - electronic differential lock isn't anything special.  It was even an option for the Mk2 Raylle as far as I know and appeared on Mk4 GTIs and is present on the Mk5 GTI too...

God what a lot of goings on since i last was on here! All it needs is for a joker to plant some well chosen words and there are many biters!
Even without the figures - come on lads how in the world of physics is the 30ed going to be heavier than the heavy weight r32! Does the weight of a new Turbo equal that to 4 wheel drive hard ware??? I don't think so! There are many ways of measuring and stating weight .. get it wrong...... The ED30 maybe marketed between the GTI and R32 but the superior power to weight ratio to the R32 is going to make it a cracking car mid range and for a GTI (or most cars for that matter!) thats what counts - 0-60 is pretty meaningless - most people can't usually match it on day to day and if you do kiss your clutch (soon to be) good bye! Want 0-60 - get an do it all for you evo (or a tuned beetle!)
As for the R32 looking better from behind - i agree - thats why a matt black sticker professionaly done on the lower section of the bumper will do the trick - finish off what VW penny pinched on!

My car is supposedly to be delivered 'very early March' :undecided: Maybe they deliver white cars first as they don't have to paint them!

Autocar road test published with pictures (UK car)! The text is a bit different too but the 'lowered by 15mm' suspension comes in for quite a bit of criticism. The article ends 'Compare it with the regular GTI and you'll realise that it's an example of Less is more. And thats a shame'
Oh dear let the croaners croan!

However...their hothatch ranking puts the Clio 197 first - now that car has had a slating for it's lack of low down torque. focus 2nd GTI normal 3rd. I'll wait to see what the others think (EVO esp.) before i make my mind up - could this be another Focus RS in the making?
Only the Megane is voted tops by all mags - but i've been there!
