Well im thinking of asking for my deposit back! I drove one of the Megane big ar#se things today - the 225 cup - fantastic! Huge mid range, and corners beutifuly. No squeeks or rattles. The 230hp R26 jobbie comes with Limited Slip diff, recaros, brembos the lot and all for £5k cheaper than the Golf at 0% interest. Plus the review in this months Evo makes it a very hard package to ignore - even with a big .....

Yep I like the megane, but it is a renault, and no matter what anyone says Rover used to build better cars, I know I've had both.

The meganes will make excellent 2nd hand cars though as the new price will plummit, and you get a lot of motor for the 2nd hand price.

No it's all been quite from them - maybe there worried about speaking to me after i've been such a pain in the ar#se about the black wheel  - which i've still not heard back about yet.
Maybe also our cars have had their build postponed as we have asked for them in March??

Good news about the heated seats - it must be a problem at VW with cutting and pasting the normal Golf options onto the 30 ed.

LOL

I was undecided for ages on whether to get Steel Grey or Diamond Black.  I had a diamond black 06 GTI and looking at the steel grey photos on the net - esp the one on the 2nd page of this thread   - it looked fantastic.  However, black is the safe option and always looks good whereas steel grey doesn't look good in all lights and weathers, but looks stunning when its a bit overcast. Saying that I saw a steel grey yesterday and it looked really good.  I had to turn my head 180 degrees and I was driving my 56 plate Pearl Blue R32...  I thought about calling the dealer and changing the colour.... but when it comes down to it, I think diamond black always wins.

Was very keen on steel grey too, and first specced it in that, but changed to Diamond soon after

I think we will keep this car standard as its the mrs, and I'm not sure modding a special edition is the right thing to do.

May get a new intake and exhaust though, what do people rate for these items?
