I thought the 'Pescara' wheels were made by BBS - I thought they were BBS CH alloys just badged as VW?

Hey 08micsta,

Would be great to see what the car looks like in black.  Thanks in advance!

As for the pescara alloys, I personally don't think they look "unique" enough for an anniversary model, while the black ones are growing on me now.  By the way, i heard the new edition of volkswagen driver has an article about the Edition 30 - anyone read it yet?

I have a copy of VW Driver but haven't read it yet - working away from home so will read it when I get back on sunday.. as for the Pescara alloys I have to say that they aren't special enough to go on the Edition 30 - a bit disappointing like the rest of the car... but not disappointing enough to put me off buying one   Why do VW always do that

Well it looks as if the Turbo is the same as the one on the new S3, and the block is the same.

It seems to me that VW have deliberatly pitched this model in between the R32 and std. GTi.

Hey Stiggy

If you give me the weekend then I can arrange that for you. My pc is at home and I am away so will do it on Friday for you. And post next week monday if possible.

A reckon the GT-R will be a killer of a car if it comes out. But VW has no idea...(As usual) about a GT-R model.
What the he*ls that?? says the dealer.

Anyoway till later.

Wheels.... Goni Geeze the Black jobbies.....
I've contacted my dealer, then i contacted VW Milton Keynes - logged a complaint (you get a ref. No.) - why? The Black wheels are confirmed not to be available for the UK market  - VW Germany's decision apparently? (ref. the Vortex article - it says UK?)

Now i have sent a mail to VW customer services Germany - isch bin goni giz.... waiting for a reply. Cant understand why we can't and yet the Germans can.. There must be a surples of these wheels when some Germans have spec'd the 'pish'cara wheels so out of interest i have asked if they would be available to purchase if they are going to stick to their guns on not supplying.

The more people that moan about this the better chance we may get so try 'vw@volkswagen.de'

Found some more pics from the China motorshow - if the pescara wheels are grey (as it appears in these photos), they actually don't look too bad
