Doc,

what is the official colour name of your R32? is it deep blue pearl?

in my opinion i think thats the best colour for the R32, i spose silver is alright but id prefer that on a GTI.

I'm hoping it may look something like this...............

I could deffo live with Anthracite wheels in a nice BBS multi spoke flavour. Love the above, so if the Anni turns sour with Black rims, I'm looking at a GTi as per above.

I've done lots of searches and can only see on the VWvortex forum review of the Edition 30, that says the black Monza's are not the actual wheels.

Can anyone confirm where they got this source from, ie direct from VW?

Now then, The car is listed on vw ordering screens but not available to order yet. no details at all on the car but as soon as i found any then i will post them on here. It's marked as Golf special edition on the ordering systems but the second it's available i'll let u guys know.

Is 100% confirmed production and i would guess at ordering commensing as of Nov ish.

Liam - or anyone else - have you actually physically seen the product listed on the VW ordering screen? I rang Gilbert Lawton and they were keen to get a deposit from me but when I rang my local VW dealer to cross-check, they couldn't find it on their systems and invited me to come into the showroom so they could show me.  However, they did offer to take a deposit of me - probably also to get rid of my incessant calls asking about the Anniversary Edition  - which would mean I would be first on their list.  Liam, is it possible that Gilbert Lawton or whoever your source is, is telling porkies to have a handful of ready customers when the Edition 30 comes out? Also, I asked Gilbert Lawton about what their allocation would possible be and they didn't seem to concerned about that - I mean they aren't going to have a limitless supply of these cars so if they take too many deposits, I am sure that some people will be disappointed - or maybe I am wrong?   :undecided:   Anyway, I am off to my local dealer to hand in my deposit

VW only released a 'design study' for the 30th Anniversary - nothing more. So you are trying to place an order against something that you don't really know what it looks like. So pretty much everything about the spec is going to be vague until it is officially announced. There has also been no mention of whether or not this is a genuine limited production run.

If thats the case then why are Gilbert Lawton and/or Liam's source - whoever that is - saying that the car is appearing on their product screens??!!

Garage on AT reckons they have allocation of the first two , and that there will be 400 for UK.

Its all about rims for us, its the mrs car, and the last thing Iwant is another car to start playing with, I know I could go mad on VW GTi's.

That said if the 30th looks crap, it will be a 3dr Steel Grey, with BBS 19's and a re-map for starters.

Have VW confrimed the number of new models to be at the Paris Motorshow?

I am not denying the car will appear, just that no one seems to know the spec.

It will be an allocation car which means that each dealer will only get a couple of orders in a month and if they do more than a couple it will roll over to the next month before they can oredr one. It will be a limited run and there are no details as of yet as to what it will look or go like just rumours.
The car is on Volkswagen screens but not available to order yet, We've had no orders yet soif you want one in yorkshire then you need to get in touch to be the first with the car. Also got no idea how much it will cost yet though,
Also it's not called anniversary on vw just called Golf special edition and that's all it says so far.
It's got to be either the anniversary or the R36!
