Deposit was a standard £500 returnable on the non-appearance of the car but I was planning to change my 06 plater to 07 anyway as I skimped on many options to keep the price down on my 06.  They told me that the car was definetly coming out though as they have seen it on one of their databases...  as confirmed on this forum... 230ps    can't wait.

No... there are no details of the car except for what was shown as the Edition 30 study back in April.  I have to agree though, those black alloys look really nasty, but then again thats easily rectified!

I really cant see the point of trading in a mark 5 gti for the 30th edition one, it has black alloys which most people are saying they dont like, its the exact same spec as current version, has 30 xtra bhp, but you can all ready get that by superchipping your current gti, why go to all that extra expense??. the numbers of these are gonnabe limited to 1 maybe 2 per dealer and thats it, so if you get one you will be very lucky.  its gonna cost u atleast 6 grand in trade in dealer to by the new model, i really think you should save your £

If the Mk4 Anniversary is anything to go by, this should be a special car.  Also I can't imagine VW keeping those black alloys after the slating they have got from all quarters.  Also, look at the Mk4 Anni resale values against a standard Mk4 1.8T - the difference is huge

I agree, dissapointed nothing has been mentioned at Paris though.

Is there another major event before the end of the year that VW may preview this car?
