Hi Ha54sym

I have the legally binding blue contract slip signed last Wed. - £1k deposit. Mine will be the first car in the NE Scotland.  If the dealer is dragging their heels take your buisness to another - im sure they'll welcome you!

Ahhh no I have a blue contract slip saying I've paid £500 deposit on a ED30.

However with all this order talk I thought people had got further and put final spec in (which I was told is still vague, when asked about winter pack as car already has heated seats?)

Thought you lot where getting delivery dates already.

I was at the dealer today picking up some parts when Tony, the sales guy at Wolsey grabbed me and asked me to spec my options for the order... so thats what I did.  Fully loaded  I did tell him - for the umpteenth time - that I did NOT want the car until March 07 so it is registered on an 07 plate and also so I can drive the R32 around for 4 months.  The Mk5 GTI sold ok through ebay - had no problems whatsoever.

On my blue slip my options are selected. I havn't ticked the winter pack though as heated scooshers can be a right pain when they stop/start/stop working

Ahh right are they happy to deliver on the 1st of March then? Thats when I'd want ours too.

But heated seats come as part of the package, but I'm not sure if heated washer jets and headlamp washers are in too, or ho much they will be as an option, as you already have the heated seats in.

I'm glad there's the option of delivery in March - that's when i'll have mine for as well.  Will be ordering mine today (hopefully!)

Sorry to diverge from the topic slightly, but found this on the net about mods made to the 2.0T engine in the 30th AE:

"After the slogan 'per year an additional Turbopferdchen' the technicians dedicated themselves to the Zweiliter TFSI aggregate. Increased load pressure, a modified characteristic diagram as well as interferences into the hardware (among other things new pistons) draw now 230 HP (series from the excellent engine: 200 HP) and a torque of 300 Newtonmeters (series: 280 Nm). " Translated from German.

Maybe someone can shed some light? Many Thanks
