Ollie, VW offered to chip my GTi and that maintains the warranty in full

hi wantmygti - what was VW offered and where was this. I really want the Morego 250 conversion but not keen to potentially invalidate my warrranty.

Cheers

Go for the Morego it's great! I know I keep banging on about it but truly is an amazing difference. For £150 they honor your warranty.

Well after a bit of thinking, we are going to stick to the 30th. Its a pity they arn't numbered and Xennons arn't standard but hey, I've never seen an out the factory car yet, that is my perfect number.

What colour to go for now.......

Hey Dalgleish, all i know is my salesman said they can chip the car upto 250bhp and it doesn't affect the warranty.

I can get more info if you like but you might just be able to ask your local dealer.

So then if vw are making the new gti with 230 bhp from the same power unit, does that mean we can take our 200bhp gti's to them and they can mod them to same spec as 230bhp, i guess its just a modded ecu etc, what do you think the have tweaked or replaced on the engine to get the extra performance?

My order is cancelled, it's VW marketing hype, pure and simple...

They have wasted a golden opportunity...is it just me or does anyone else find the idea of a GTI costing more than £21k mad...

At the end of the day it's a Golf, not a A4 or a 3 series...dame fine car, but pricing itself right out of the game.

Especially when the hot hatch daddy is launched in March for £18k
