i`v got 5 channel amp.front ,rear speakers,sub.i just bout kenwood cd wich got  2 pre out.one is non-feding.i was reading that i can use one pre out to fed my sub.please can someone tel me whot is the best connection for that system .

reciver is 4*50w (kenwood),amp 4*80w+1*240w(kenwood).front 240w(pyle)rear 300w(pyle),alpine type r 12`sub.

Use the non fading for your sub. The second set of preouts are more likely for the rear speakers. If your sub has it use the speaker wire connections (high level input) for your mids and highs since it only has 2 sets of preouts. If you use your rear out you will have almost no highs. If your reciever had 3 sets of RCA's (front,back,and n/f) then you would use all three. Good luck

I have 2 typeR subs powered off a D class kenwood amp and they kick like nothing else. the other day we drove round town with a dance tune up loud. not flat out, but loud. After 3 mins I'm ears were thumping.

well if its bass u like check this out for bass i have two 12 audiobahn subwoofers 1200wattsrms each two audiobahn amps 1200rms each jlaudio amp for top range and this is going in me mark 2posting pic on gallery now

In terms of connecting it all up, it can be done quite easily.

As 8916vGTI stated, use the non-fading pre-out for the sub.

The other pre-out can be split, so as to give four rca leads (two sets) with a simple set of rca splitters.

This will allow you to connect an rca lead to each channel of your amplifier, powering all speakers (including sub).

The downside is that you will not have the ability to fade front to rear via the head unit controls - this will only be possible by adjusting the 'gain' pots on the amp.

Small price to pay on the basis that you don't keep changing the fading once its set up right.

Will you lose any of the highs splitting off the rear RCA's though? I'm not totally sure. That would be the best way to do it though

It depends on the quality (voltage) of the rca output, and the power of the amplifier.

If you have a head unit with reasonably high voltage outputs, you should be ok. Its a better solution than running high level inputs or rca converters, and is cheaper than swapping head unit or amplifier.

As I said in my post, it ain't ideal, but it will work!

didnt mean to knock ur advice m8 but from my own experience i had an alpine hu with 4v preouts and when i split the 3rd rca to get a fourth amp in i noticed a drop in sound quality and volume...but as se11ps says it does the trick just turn up the gain a little more and that should suffice
