Cant Decide
« on: 29 December 2003, 18:20 »
i currently own a mk3 1.4 with everything modded and decided the time has come for more power.I was going to do a engine conversion, but i was advised not to from a few reliable sources. So i have decided to take all my mods off and sell the car as i bought it,the thing is i cant decide between a vr6 or a gti ::) please give me your advice and opinions

regards

Chris

if you cant plump for the vr6 for price or insurance reasons then get a 2.0 16v gti there spose to be pretty quick 150bhp im sure theres som eon here with one!!! i know mrwottos got one but i dont know of any one else!!!! if you have the cash or can afford the insurance the vr6 is the beasty to have!!!! ;D

go with the 2.0l valver if you can't afford the 6 right now. get a few more years NCB then get a nice VR6 Highline. Those are well nice rides. :)

My 16valver is quite fast, not really pushed it yet, did 120 in it the ther day tho, and had loads left in it.

The later ones pumps out approx. 160bhp so i am told!!

Mines fast anyways :)

If its of any help to you, mine costs me ?420 a year fully comp with tesco's, that with 8 years ncd and me bird on it as a named driver to!

Make sure you check the engine for signs of boy racer abuse tho!  Had mine for 4 months now and am very happy with it!!!

Hope this helps
