Rim & tyre sizes

If I were to change my 14" with 185/60 to 15" 185/55 would that be equal surely not ?

185/55/15 would be cool or 195/50/15

will those sizes lift the car off the floor a bit, but keep the wheel arch clearence the same ?

neither should make any difference as the whole point is that the overall size stays the same

I've slight scrubbage on the drivers side when i go over speed bumps.
I wondererd weather i could lift the car a bit without changing the springs.
The camber also needs doing since the lowering. Does this affect aswell the height ?

if you're going 15's you have to run 195/45 rubber... on a 8 inch rim

So you currently have what, 6 by 14's and they are catching the arches? Something not quite right there

no, something catching slightly underneath on the drivers side over speed humps. Arches are fine.
Will the camber adjustment sort that out.
Will bigger wheels sort it ?

you should be able to see what's catching just by looking.

should always get the geometrey done when you've done anything to the suspension.

as long as the rolling diametre is the same having a different size wheels won't change anything really. may corner slightly different to the change in tyre wall.

It's a beam further back that the wishbone arm, just underneath the footwell bit.
I've just been outside and the drivers side is about 1cm or so lower than the passenger side.
I haven't had the alignment / camber done yet. Does this sound like the problem ? or are you able to untighten the top mount suspension bolt on the driverside???
