How old was it? will really last as long as a vw?
probably not! its not all about bhp, but just mostly  ;D

Its was H plate.

I got it fresh in from Japan... 100 km on the clock. Dump valves, Large bore twin exhausts...

0-60 in 5.5secs..  

Its a Jap car so will go on forever....

Depends what ya like really. The golf is an excellent all round package as well as being fast.

Well you could also buy a brand new Daewoo Matiz for ?5k. thats newer!
Theres plenty of old Jap cars about... My second car is a F plate Honda Integra with 270,000 miles on the clock. I also own an F Reg Nissan Micra and a J plate Nissan 100Nx.

I think Jap and German cars are the only ones to buy.
