I don't see where mine has gotten any slower with age. The french car may show it the heels in a straight line run but how does it handle? I had a ren 19 16v for a little while. That thing was quick but my mk2 valver is just as quick if not quicker and handles a world better. I did drive a new clio 172 a couple months back just for grins and it was a fast little sh1t but i don't see it pulling away from a mk3 VR6. VR6 is a torque beast and handles the revs better then the the french cars do. Keep the revs up and hit your shifts proper and no problems there.
