Yes even u VR6 owners are gonna be in the rear view mirror of Renaults new beasts

Renault Clio Sport 182
Clio Sport V6 255Bhp

Can't speak for everyone, but I disagree with this!
Firstly, my golf is far from slow!
Secondly, I couldn't contemplate swapping a VW for a french car.
I have put 47k miles on my golf in well under 18 months and it hasn't missed a beat.
A girlfriend of my missus picked up her brand new 172 sport (one of the last left in the country apparently) and it was back in the garage getting fixed within three days.
French cars are fast because they are poorly built (and hence, lightweight) - eletrics, interiors, body panels, everything is all tier three quality compared to our vee dubs.

You want one for christmas? I garauntee you that by easter the only quick thing about it will be the speed at which the trim falls around your feet, and the frequency of the calls you need to make to the dealer to complain.  ;D

The greatest leveller of them all - the Carousel

Vr6 isn't exactly slow and its not new now. I doubt the mk4 models gti turbo/4 motion/diesel are exactly slow either.

Drove the 180Bhp anniversary - boring...no fun... not frighteningly fast either
Drove the 4Motion, hella fast... but bland... nice exhaust tho.
Drove the R32 ... too jiggery in first gear ... hence the new R32 DSG.
