Last post August 2006....wow!!

And very little had changed until this winter! I have started playing around again with it after converting my grandads old shed into my workshop! Have cut out the boot floor and half fitted the ally plate, will give me a little less weight, and something better (flatter) to mount the tank and battery to!

Have also removed the rear beam, cleaned and painted it as the front, and all the rear brake assembly has either been renewed, have kept the drums as i plan to strip and cut as much away as possible form most of the car, and the lack of weight at the back will only end up with locking of the rears!

tried to mount my seats with the 'universal' seat brackets i bought, haha, no chance they're ever going to fit, even though they still say they do fit mk2 golfs! will end up making my own no doubt.

The shed is about only 30ft long and 16ft wide, so since having the golf in it has had to be taken out so i can fix my brothers car, and before the golf went back in i started to fix a 'small' oil leak on a friend car (200sx S13), and has been in there since Christmas, had the engine out, just about every oil seal there is replaced as they were all leaking, and is now back together and hopefully being removed this weekend! I have 1 more job to do on my polo (work car) and its all go for the golf again! will update pictures wen its back in the shed!
2 Mk2's, both in bits, 2 Rocco's soon to become 1, and a Polo 1.3.....
The polo is the only car with MOT and in working order...Doh!!

Managed a fair few hours on my lil project this week, had a couple of mates over to help me, managed to completely strip the car, finally, finish off the ally boot floor (just gotta finish the last few rivets off when i get some new drill bits) Check the whgole front end was all tight etc, fit a lower strut brace, new ball joints, and start on the 'custom' hidden wiring loom, managed to weed out all the unwanted bits of a loom i had, and started hiding it through inner wings, chassis legs etc. Actually went better than i thought, gotta lengthen a few more wires this week, and the Lighting should be done, then to start on the dash, and engine loom (not alot there though)
Will post some pictures up wen i can get a good photo, its in a poorly lit shed/workshop and it was all of sat night, and some of sunday morning, bout 5pm saturday, till 2am sunday we were in there! Was a great night too!!

Ok sadly still no pictures, been a bit hectic, and only doing a few minutes here and there on the car so no time to take pics!

Managed to completely finish the ally floor, and seem seal it all in, Remove all the sound deadening from the foot wells etc, all the looms are now finished just waiting to be fitted, and started making the dash (well a couple of buttons and speedo that is)

Money is extremely tight at the moment, but still aiming to finish this car this summer, i need the suspension, brakes and manifold still, if anyone knows of anything good, and reasonably priced i would appreciate a PM, as i have a birthday coming up, and all i want is bits for my car lol!

Will try and get some pictures soon, hopefully have a weekend to spend on it soon, so it will start going back together and look more like a car....

ok, managed to get a few hours on the car this week again, decided to get the inside painted so i can start putting bits back on, cleaned it all out, and gave it a quick rub down and primed and painted the inside!! looks really good, should look a bit tidier now and like its meant to be stripped!!

a few pics of the painted ally floor in there too!

Got all day saturday to get some more bits done with a mate too, so looking good after nearly 2 years of storage!!
