tom tom go 700

this mite be off topic but i lost my sat nav cd  for my tom tom go 700, was wondering how do i update the thing, i have the usb cable but never tried stumbled across this link with free updates

I think the best way to update it is either buying a new CD/DVD from Tom Tom themselves or trying to download maps in the correct format.
What you trying to update, the maps or the camera database?

I shouldnt think losing the CD is much of a problem, if you register your unit on the tomtom website u get a whole host of downloads including patches drivers etc, also if your after a camera database give www.pocketgps.co.uk as it is cheaper than tomtom, and a very good database.
