Not being funny mate, but a ?100 alarm won't be worth a w*nk.

Seriously consider either saving for something  better, or do what others have suggested, and pay monthly for a quality item.

You might not need a Thatcham approved alarm, but it will will be an indicator as to how good it is, and I wouldn't waste ?100 on a non-approved alarm when ?200 will get you on the way to getting a cat 1 jobbie.

Those cheap, self-install jobbies are garbage and aren't worth the time wasted on installing them.

Be warned! GAP SECURITY ARE DODGY FITTERS!

Gap sub-contract out all their fitting work to self employed guys country wide, so I'd say you probably experienced a localised problem.

My old man had a Conceot 600 with remote start fitted to his Supercharged Holden GTS. The guy turned up bang on time, and spent the whole day making sure everything worked fine and dandy.

Bearing in mind there are only 75 or so of these cars in the country, and no haynes manuals exist for it, he did everything 'blind' so to speak and it was bang on.

Never be afarid to ask for the best fitter they have on their books is all I would say!!!
