Mk 3 Door Speakers

Has anyone else had problems with upgraded front door speakers on the Mk3 resonating badly when the volume is turned up?
I can't tell whether it's the door trim vibrating against the door, or the door trim rattling against the speaker housing.
Any ideas?

i got some sony upgraded speakers for my mk3 and now yo mention it they do rattle a buit when u pump up the volume!

So it may well be a fault that needs some modding to get right, will be watching this post to see any ideas now

dyna mat or brown bread ...also cut a small bit and fit it between the speaker and the mounting in the door pods

I am doin my whole interior out black and red alcantara new speakers and active sub. Re-trimmed recaro's on the way and i got me some tasty new leather mk4 style door cards! Waiting for some good weather to fit it all!

I was gonna get some nice solid fits using foam, speaker wadding lots of rubber glue. I hate rattles and vibration - half the reason i'm sorting the interior out!

Ok now i done me research - what a dumb ass, had seen it before but diddn't know what it was called! Ok i am a novice to the ICE thing, too much time spent on the engine over the years!

I had a serious vibration problem when I put some 17cm Kenwood speakers in the rear of my Mk3. I sprayed Dynamat all over the door panels which seemed to cure the worst of it whilst also giving the door panels a pretty neat foamy effect. I was expecting it to look horrendous, but it actually looks pretty good.

More interestingly, I recently swapped my Clarion head unit for a Kenwood KDC-7024M, which eliminated vibrations on all but the most troublesome bassline (I'm thinking the intro to Seven Nation Army here).
