they have like a little jet on the top of the carb, the fuel is not injected but just sort of trickles out.

they used to do digijet which was single point injection but they are really rare and i dnt even think the were sold in the UK, but i am not sure.

the front discs on a driver are solid and not vented but vented front gti brakes would fit, its only from 16v and upwards, g60's etc that you need to change the caliper carriers etc.

Thats what i thought, hence why i put single point, but wasn't decided.

cheers lads , i get ur point about the brakes , just that i may be getting a gti for spares n if ive got em i may as well put em on , i wouldnt go spendin on brakes at this stage unless i obviously got them cheap .
as for plans , wasnt sure wether to stay with small bumpers ? with chrome inserts ( where can i get them from ) , or big bumpers ?
alreedy has 8x 17" s , nice dish , i know u lads rnt keen but i was gona go for jetta lights , not sure just yet , around 60mm drop , btw any body know the law on removin door handles ( mot )

looks very tidy mate, well seein as though you are getting a GTI for spares then you might aswell swap them over. You could take all the suspension off to as it will be better than driver suspension depending on the condition.

As for the small bumpers with chrome inserts i am not sure where to get them from to be honest, try either www.gsfcarparts.com or www.eurocarparts.com (they could be .co.uk if them links dont work)

Jetta lights means you have to change the front panel to a jetta one which is fairly straight forward to do.

Door handle wise, i am not sure, i think it depends on the leniency of each mot tester, technically the boot counts as a door so if you can get in through the boot then it should pass, as they see it being de-handle as having no way of opening the doors i think.
