How do I tell I have a Highline MFA?

I was wrong - there only standard on the R32

Nope the spec changed for 2006 so you should get the MF wheel with the DGS - I'm off to the dealers in the morning so I'll check it then.

With the MF wheel you can change track, volume, mute the radio and access the extra menus on the MFD easy!

I hope your wrong matey    either that or i'll be kicking off with the dealer tomorrow

Just noticed on the top picture your car has a compass type thing.

That only for the R32's??.

Reply above LOL - I just assumed the only difference spec wise was the xenon's

The compass and a few other bits are only for the MF wheel equiped cars 

Maybe if VW explained there options a little better more people would buy them!

I was told by the vw dealer that you could not change the tracks etc with the multifunction steering wheel hence I did not order it.  I am going to have to ring them up and add it on.  Will annoy them as I will have to send another order form to them.  oh well, why do vw not break down what each extra is and does?

I have changed specs about 4 times because of differnt info, given and recieved.

Just to clarify though another point you might be able to help me with if you have the sat nav head unit and 6 disc changer in armrest.  Also how relaible is the sat nav?  And does it warn you off traffic on the route like my mercedes?


Can both play cd/rws? Or can the head unit play a dvd muisc cd?
 Also can either play an mp3 disc?

If not I am going to order the phat upgrade whenI get the car.

VERY RELIABLE AND YES IT HAS TMC TRAFFIC REPORTS

You cant have PHAT and CD changer plugged in but you can bin your cd and plug the PHAT in as they both use the same port on the rear for the Sat-nav
