« on: 23 April 2006, 13:08 »
I have a mk1 golf gti campaign1.8 and access to a 1.8 turbo engine with ko4 turbo at a reasonable price the thing is i need to know what needs to be changed/modified to get the engine running in the mk1 (i dont think getting the engine in should be too much worry as the blocks are near identical) any help would be much appeciated its just i dont want to get the engine and not be able to get it going without great expense.

it will be quite pricey, mainly depends what the engine comes with and what managment you are going to use?

the AEB coded engine from the passat is the easiest to install due to the position of the engine mounts. The other variants can be fitted, but more work is involved in the mounting dept.
