Thanks for the tips folks, Ive got about 4 A4pages written down with tips from people.
Went to see the car last night, Kev was just putting the finishing toutches on flushing the brake fluid and setting up the rear brakes. Problem is the pads are fairly worn now and the drilled disks are cracked. Im not sure if i can afford to fix this and the track day will defintly finish them off so i will probally have to bite the bullet on this one.
As for the engine, well the engine was halfway through behing dropped last night when i was there (around 10PM) then at midnight i get a picture message of my old engine sat on the floor in a heap. The new motor wont be as hard to remove as they will be pulling the whole front end off the doner car and just pulling hte motor out reguardless of what cables or wires get damaged (as were using all the wires of the odd engine) after the new lump is dropped theres simply a coolent flush and setting up the carbs so the car should be ready some time this afternoon with a bit of luck, However i dont mind if it overspills to the end of the weekend as long as the works done right.
Pics:

Old motor missing its carb and airbox ready for removal.

Kev removing the drift shaft

Dirty coilovers, Might have to clean these

Seeing the car like this almost braught a tear to my eyes!

The rest of the engine bay is rather dirty, So before donnington i might have to gunk it

while everybody is having a nice chat people start to realise a rather nasty smell (hence strac covering his nose), The next thing i realise is that im standing far too close to the heater jet and its burnt all my leg hairs (was wairing shorts!)

Despite being a former pit-crew macanic....im still not convinced
