wot are some good brand speakers for the front doors of the mk 2??
wanna go foe some of the lesser known but good quality brands if possible
any ideas???

ive got some jl xr650csi's and i lvoe em and diz has some focals which are lush  :smiley:

heard good things abt jl and i think my current speakers are focal, but i wanna get a cross over set i think l

my cross overs are mounted in my glovebox with the large speaker in door and the tweeter where the old dash speakers were

If you want lesser known brands try

Diamond Hex 6.5's

Rainbow CSX 265's

or

Seas Lotus

I have the Focal 165K2P's and yes they are lush :D You'll need new door pods like Ali's or the expensive audioscape ones to mount them in a mk2.

Make sure you have a proper amp to run the above speakers. 100w RMS at least.
