Mk1 Brake pedal
« on: 02 March 2006, 19:36 »
Hi All

I have a 1990 mk1 cabriolet and the brake lights wont go off after you have pressed the pedal
unless you put your foot under it and lift it up.

Does anybody have any ideas to get rid of this problem ??

Thanks

Steve

Get your head under and av a look

Should be a switch on top of the pedal, check its not moving about and adjust if needs be

Cheers

No switch on the pedal on a mk1, check the mechamism between the pedal and the master cylinder, poss a siezed pivot on the "x" linkage.
Steve.
