brake discs??????

this sounds really dumb but how many brake discs and pads do u ned for a 1.9 tdi se pd 100 ona 02 plate thanks

Dunno about the TDi, but my 1.8 T has a front & rear disc setup.

Front & rear pads for discs, both come as a set anyway (4 in a box - 2 for each disc)

Discs are sold seperately.

For example, for a full brake replenish, I would need 2 x 283mm discs for the front, & 2 x smaller discs for the rear, along with 1 set of front, & 1 set of rear pads.

thanks mate i think on mine its only the front that have the wear indicators so that must mean i wud need
2 x front discs 2 x rear discs
1x front pads with wear indictors
1 x rear pads

Yes, only the front N/S has the indicator, so can only tell with rears by looking.

I take it you've had the 'Check Brake Pads' sign light up the dash, then?!

If in doubt, I'd get it checked out at one of those 'free brake check' centre's, as you don't want to buy discs/pads all round, if you only need front pads, for example.

using eurocarparts.com am looking at just getting standard everything as am on a low budget and student loans company are paying!!!!
