door pockets in a non pocketed door

ive got a golf mk2 1.3 3dr,  but it never had pockets just a dirty great recess in the door and i was wondering if i could get a pair of pockets to screw strait in there as i might adapt them and built my own speaker pods but i dont wanna buy some from autoacousics etc as they pull ya pants down with the price.

iv had a few thoughts.. ive decided to rope my old man into making me some complete pockets and mounts for some components.. he's a dab hand with mdf etc since he works with it. cheers anyways.
