need someone with VAG COM  - ideally a local independent VW garage or even a mate who got it.

Don't think there is any other way I'm afraid

so u know these instructions that i got given

" Place one key in the ignition and switch it on, (engine not running). Take a
second key and turn the door lock on the outside driver door handle to the
unlock position and hold it until you hear three beeps. Then release the key
and press the lock button on each remote to be programmed. There will be a
beep to confirm each remote. Once done, hold the lock in the unlock position
again untill you hear three beeps. Remove the key from the ignition. Your
remotes should now be set. "

are they a load of bo11ocks?

the biggest headache you'll get is getting the key cut mind - i don't know of any places that will touch the flip keys  :undecided:

Price sounds reasonable mind but I've never had to get a key coded so not entirely sure

philb best thing to do is get one of ebay get it laser cut cost me £5.00 and then take it to stealers and say that the code does not work they will charge u 21.95 plus VAT i think its standard charge with VW  and it takes a 1hr waiting time to get the code from main main VW and then they program it in jobs a good un
