Adaptors are crap imho you spend more time tightening them back up then admiring the rims I wouldn't trust them.
Go for mk3 wide track and rear axle jobs a good un!!!

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

dude!its a piece of cake!!!
go scrapy or by genuin mk3 hubs complete they bolt straight on!!four bolts!change the discs aswell and calipers this will give you A a better hand brake and B no more sticky calipers!on the front of mine i have audi A4 calipers etc with audi tt 288mm discs but the mk3 should go straigh on well they wiill but you might find you'll have to change your drive shaft ends(cv joints) as the mk3 and audie's are fitted on a tapour not held on with the drive shaft nut.meaning when you undo the drive shaft nut they are pressed on so are a right b!tch to get off!good luck dude!

ps. dont let anybody tell you sumik cant be done cos it can!!ive done it and so have many others, people that say it cant be done only say it cos they ve been told so by people they consider to be cleverer than themselves and because they and the people that told them havent got the balls to try it!

calm down dear! no-one said it couldn't be done they just offered suggestions of how it could be done. if you look through the thread all it says is how adaptors might mean the wheels stick out too far and he wasn't sure if he wanted to upgrade his brakes just yet, which might rule out the swapping hubs method.
ultimately both methods will work it all depends on what wheels he wants to run, what offset they are, how thick the spacers are and how much money he wants to spend in order to get whatever 5 stud wheels onto his car.
