1 15" and 2 8 inchers in the boot....

AAAAARRRRRRGGHH.......don't do it, they'll cancel each other out, and apart from that, sound sh1t!

Get the biggest size you can up front (16 or 17cm) and power them with a decent 2ch amp, and then either a single 10" or single 12" in a sealed box (depending on what kind of music you listen too) powered by a mono amp, therefore sending a complete low frequency signal to the sub. Try not to read too much into the whole MAX WATTS figure as they are more than likely to be inaccurate of the amplifiers power. My Genesis profile 4 is only 4x75w RMS, but when bridged powers a set of Focals a treat.

With the set-up you've mentioned I would bung 3 of the 8" subs in a sealed box being run off of the big amp, and run the front set-up of mid-range and tweeters off of the smaller amp. I personally wouldn't bother with the other set of mid-range speakers as you can mess up the sound stage something rotten.

got to agree with lewy here. Not a fan of rear speakers as they bugger up the sound stage. 2 or 3 of the 8s in the boot off the big amp and the front speakers off the smaller one, job done!

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

Leav them in but just dont wire them up. If your having to make a box for the subs anyway why not make a little something for the amps too?

I would consider a 4 channel amp for the fronts if going for components. Reason being you can bridge the channels for more power to start with and then gives you the option for going active (directly powering the mids seperate from the tweeters with the correct frequencies).

And as Lewy said, don't run a 15 with a couple of 8s, stick with the same model and size subs if going for more than 1.

just drawing some plans for the box  do i make a single box for the 2 sub's ??? do i make 2 box's and glue them together to make one box ???  or do i make two box's to go in the gap between the wheel arch and boot ???  and would i be right in saying the subs need to face the rear of the car so the sound hit the back and the rolls forward if you know what i mean lol

why only run 3 subs? you have a 4ch amp if it is 2ohm stable run 2 subs off each channel:) then you can run 2 small boxes.
i would only use 12mm for box really as 8`s arent going to flex it.
