Now got it and it works fine. Fitted my cruise control and I did indeed have to enable it with the VAG COM software.
Today I'll try running a ground scan and see what fault codes it throws up..........if any :undecided:

Oh and by the way. You do have to be very careful when looking at the airbag side of things with the VAG COM. It throws up a warning about problems with  certain part numbers of airbags or something. I'll try and suss out more on that today. Only looked at it briefly as I was more interested in enabling the CC at the time.

Hey, used it today and checked loads of parameters. One thing I picked up on.....fuel timing was too far retarded. Causes problems starting, both hot and cold and smoke. Have now advanced the fuel timing, now spot on. Aparrently should also improve the rev range, performance and economy.........

Hope to expect easier starting and less smoke on start up, at the very least.........will see........already averaging 50 mpg!!!!

Yes its the Ross tech one. You can download it from their site as shareware. As soon as you plug it into your car and carry out a scan it registers the product.
Its then up to you if you want to activate all the available functions. I'm pretty sure the airbag scan is available under the shareware version......have a look at their online manual to confirm.

Mine is now fully enabled so can do just about everything.
