doesnt sound bad for your age.Is that comp or tpft? im not allowed to insure myself  :cry: and i tried brentacre for my last renewal and thought they were very good. Flux turned out the best for me though.

Still gimme a try at your next renewal though cos im sure i could still beat them all though!!

Weighing everything up I have gone for the expensive but standard choice of a full refurb (top & bottom end).

Hopefully having an original 1.6i engine may add a few quid when I come to sell it.

This car will be the death of me (and my money).

I wasn't aware that the 1.6's are getting rare? i know of 2 sat around doing nothing as we speak

have you tried volkspares? (0208 778 7766)  i got a re-con from them when my engine went boom at 110mph (messy), it was about £600 fitted (not including the replacement crank case & dizzy) was fitted in 2 days and got better every day i drove it - i miss that engine, damn DVLA and their crushing un-taxed car policies :angry:
