Ok, got the car cheap as you well know. Now undecided whether to proceed or not. This is the car:-
And having had a good look around the car decided to tackle the potentially worse issue, rust. This is the worst that I have found, the rest I have caught in time:-
NS rear subframe area:-
OS rear subframe area, for camparison, caught this in time, doesn't need welding:-
Car now only owes me £200 so I could easily recover that by scrapping it.........opinions would be well valued as I'm really undecided on this

Looks really clean apart from the damage, looks like some idiot has jacked it up wrong without protecting the underseal with a pad or some wood
If it was me I'd consider getting it welded, especially if I had the tools & skills to do it meself!

it looks pretty mint from the outside, i'd get it welded and either keep it or get it in autotrader for a good price

TBH I like the way popular opinion is going
.............damn I'm going to have to get cold and wet welding in the winter
I'll probably drop the rear subframe tomorrow for a better assesement and to make sure there aren't any other problems hiding away.
