This Months Max Power!!!!
« on: 29 November 2005, 13:19 »
Being as im now an official boy racer ive decided to start reading max power  Opened it up today and to my suprise they have a Mk2 Golf 20VT Racing a 500BHP Lambo gurraro (SP), Guess who won.....

The Mk2 golf of course.  They had a whole list of euro hatch backs (and a scooby for some od reasion) and the VW golf was the second fastest car there, Only beaten by a AWD cossworth powered Fiesta. The 20VT is jabbasports latest creation and is a compleate sleeper (minus the exhaust and carbon bonnet) and started off its life as a 1.6

Golf Stats:
0-60 5.17 seconds
0-100 9.62
1/4 mile - 12.98
TopSpeed 169.99

And its still driven as a daily driver

the stats for the golf dont look so good that it would beat a lambo..IMO..actually it depends who was driving, if it was one of them out of the mag then anything is possible
08.03.10 - 3, maybe 4 weeks, and I want my golf back on the road!

Power to weight ratio may have had something to do with it, plus the fact that Mike Trueluck of Jabba is a complete nutcase!!

Max powers excuse:

"the track is an old airforce runway and the surface was un-suitable for standing starts unlike professional drag strips where the surface gives better grip, So these cars are even faster on the track"

Only baught it for the Mk2 TBH, might rub one out over one of the sl*ts later i guess, Otherwise i did just waste £4.60....Oh well :)

Only bought Max power mag to get cheap stereo deals on the classified pages, and when i left the newsagent i had to hide it away as there was a MK3 owner outside chatting to he's mate

Fielder you put that poster together yet?
