making a box

i want to make some speaker boxs for a new instant but how do i know what size is right for the speaker?? i know you need the right amount of air in the box so it sounds good but how do i work it out

there are some free calculators online.. simple shapes are easier to calculate and make..

i have a couple books at home too that are useful
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

fibreglass is easy to work out the volume. fill it with water and messure how much you get back out :D

If you are buying new speakers there should be the info you want on the box or the info with it!
General rule is for a sub then go for 1 cu ft minimum.
