Nah, its not cold enough for that if your driving slowly?!
I get Carb freeze on the motorway or on a dual carrageway over 60mph. When a Carb freezes, it only splutters or has a really bad flat spot, most of the time the car just feels flat when driving.  :undecided:

I know that example is for a plane but it essentially works in the exactly the same way. Its been cold enough round here to ice up windows and things.

heads would turn as a car that sounds like a hair dryer blows down the road, anyway i thought the carb liked cold air once the engine was hot?

Best bet would be to cake it in a antifreeze spray, and something that will not allow moisture to settle and freeze on it, something like rainex might be an idea, or spraying the carb with a wet start spray so that water cannot penetrate onto the surface and freeze. Best ideas i can think of atm.
