weird today,
« on: 13 November 2005, 03:52 »
twas driving home, not ragging or anything.and had to stop at some lights, for some reason my revs wouldnt drop and were really high, so much so that when i attempted to turn the car off to restart it even with the key out it wouldnt die properly, i had to stall it to stop it, then by the time i got home it was fine again...... is this the choke or something els, im allready aware that my stupid automatic choke doesnt work anyway but its never done that before, i want a manuel choke

God damn Carbs!!! Mine is playing up aswell mate, must be cold weather.
It sounds like either your auto choke stuck open or throttle was stuck? I could advise you to strip and oil all moving parts of carb and clean out jets, but if i were you get either a manual choke, (position is already there in dash) or get Weber carb with manual choke?!
I LOVE THE SOUND OF CARBS IN THE MORNING

i hate carbs and i hate automatic chokes, i drempt last nite that cars just worked, they were built and then they worked forever and nothing broke or wore out, plus they ran off water, these tiny differences would easily make this world a better place

hmmm, what tools do i need? ill have to go and buy them cause i dont have many, im not looking forward to this, not too good or lucky with car stuff, sticking arches on is one thing, playing around with mechanical things is abit out of my league, but i guess ill find out... maybe it wont be that bad
